It’s so important, it’s worth saying twice. Retention is one thing. Growth from existing clients is another.
After all, it’s easier to get New Business from existing client partners through either getting more of the same type of projects, cross-selling other services or referring them to a sister company (if you have one).
The biggest barrier we find is that agency teams don’t know how ‘to sell’. That’s why we run training programmes that help team members ‘solve not sell’.
Old business can be a great source of New Business, so don’t forget – love the one’s you’re with!
